What is the NEST integration?
The integration connects PayFit with NEST to keep pension information synchronised between both platforms.

How to activate the NEST integration
Go to Pensions > My Schemes in your PayFit account
Either go to the settings of your existing scheme or 'Set up your pension scheme'
Find and select the NEST option
Enter your company's NEST Employer Reference Number (this can be found on your NEST account in the upper right hand corner and begins EMP)
Complete the activation process
Note: For the activation process to work, PayFit needs to have been added as a delegate on your NEST account. For information on how to add us as a delegate on NEST, please take a look at this article.
How to manually synchronise data
If you need to update data outside the nightly automatic sync:
Navigate to the Pensions page in PayFit
Click the Sync now button
Wait for the synchronisation to complete
Current limitations
Warning: Please be aware of these current limitations:
We only sync the first payment source added on NEST. If your company uses different payment sources for different groups, this cannot be managed at present
A maximum of 5 pension schemes are supported
The integration does not change which groups employees are in. If an employee is in a different scheme on NEST compared to PayFit, this will not be updated automatically. Employee group changes made in PayFit do not sync to NEST—an admin will need to log into NEST and update this manually by going into Workers > Edit.

During synchronisation, PayFit fetches groups from NEST and creates or updates them in PayFit. The system also ensures that employee and employer contributions comply with NEST group rules through required actions.

The synchronisation runs automatically every night. You can also trigger it manually from the Pensions page using the "Sync now" button.
