When you add your People's Pension (TPP) scheme on PayFit, you will be prompted to fill in some information about your scheme. This article will show you where you can find that information.

What information does PayFit ask for?

It is very important that you fill in the requested information correctly to allow us to successfully upload your pension contributions. All of this information can be found by logging into your TPP account.

When adding a TPP scheme on PayFit, you will need to head to My Company > Pensions > My Schemes > Add New Pension Scheme > select The People's Pension > fill out contribution details > click on Set up employee pension account.

Once you've selected Set up employee pension account, you will reach this section 👇

Where to find this information in The People's Pension

First, you will need to log into your TPP account. To find the 6 pieces of information we are asking for, please see below:

  • EmployerID: You will find this in the top right hand corner of the Account home page. Typically it is a 6 digit number.

  • Group: On the Account home page select ‘Manage worker groups’ which can be found in the bottom left box on your screen. Here you will see all of the groups you have set up in your TPP account. You should use the ‘Group Identifier’ column.

If you have more than one group then you should fill the Group box with the group that the majority of your employees are in.

This needs to be an exact copy of the text in the Group Identifier column (ie: exact same capitalisation). If you are copying and pasting please check for any leading or trailing spaces when pasting the text into PayFit.

For employees in other groups you will need to go into their pension settings at employee level:

My Employees > Employment > Edit Pension > input the group name into the ‘Worker Group’ box.

  • Frequency: If your earnings period is the 1st of the month to the last day of the month then you should select ‘Monthly’. If your earnings period is from the 6th of the month to the 5th of the following month then please select ‘Tax Monthly’

  • Start of earning period: From the Account home page navigate to ‘Account transactions’ which can be found in the ‘Manage Payments’ box in the top right hand corner.

Here you can see a history of all previous months schedules. In the details column is the period start and end dates.

Using this example, you would input ‘1st’ into PayFit.

  • Payment due date: From the Account home page navigate to ‘Make a payment’ which can be found in the ‘Manage Payments’ box in the top right hand corner.

At the bottom of the table you will see the date that your payment is set to be taken.

If you have not set up automated payments then please input the date that you intend to make your payments on.

🎉 You are all done 🎉
