At PayFit, we ask for your HMRC credentials, so that we can submit all your RTI (Real Time Information) submissions for you. However, every now and then, you might receive e-mails notifying you that your RTI submissions have failed.

Should I be worried if I receive one of these notifications?

Absolutely not!

We follow standard procedure that involves submitting TEST (mock) submissions to check see whether the form we've submitted on your behalf contains any errors that need to be amended. Each time these TEST submissions don't quite make the mark, the HMRC might notify you with an e-mail that there is something wrong that needs to be changed.

Every time there is something wrong with the TEST FPS, we do our best to keep working on it until it is error-free.

Once we've made sure that your Full Payment Submission (FPS) is ready to be submitted (containing no errors,) that's the only time that we'll make an actual live submission of the aforementioned report.
