Creating custom reports

Payfit provides a set number of company reports under Reports > Company reports but creating custom reports is also an option.

Custom reports can be used either as one-off reports or as reusable templates. For example, you can create a report to answer a specific, ad-hoc question (such as analysing payroll costs for a given period) and then export it. You can decide if it's a company report or one based on employees and the dimensions included under each column are fully customisable.

Alternatively, you can design a custom report as a template with variable dimensions (such as salaries, bonuses, or contributions) and reuse it on a regular basis by selecting Save and download . By simply updating the reporting period, you can extract the same report monthly or whenever needed, ensuring consistency in your analyses while saving time. If the company needs changes, the template can be adjusted by clicking on the "..." in the Actions column.

To create your first report, navigate to Reports > Custom reports > Add a report.

You will have to fill in a title, choose to see the information for employees, the dimensions you wish to see in your report (contributions, salaries, bonuses, etc.) and finally define the desired period, aggregated by month, quarter or year.

Once you have created your report, click on "..." in the Actions column to:

Navigate to Reports > Custom reports and click on Add a Report.

Add a title to this file, select My Company as the dataset, select the dimensions you would like to include in the report, then define the desired period, aggregated by month, quarter or year and click Save.
