The gender pay gap is the difference in average pay (including hourly wages and bonuses) between men and women in your company. If you have more than 250 employees, you're legally required to publish this data on your website and report it to HMRC.

The rules are slightly different between employers in the public sector and those in the private and voluntary sectors.

Using the pay information you've entered, PayFit generates the report for you, including values such as:

  • Hourly pay gap

  • Bonus pay gap

  • Mean and median pay for each gender

  • Gender breakdown for each quartile

  • Detailed employee breakdown for each calculation

To generate the report:

  1. From the left, choose Reports, then Company reports.

  2. Under the HR reports section, click Gender Pay Gap reporting.

  3. The Company overview section shows your key gender pay gap figures.

  4. To view a breakdown for each employee, at the bottom, click See employees.

  5. If you need to adjust any data for an employee, scroll to the right, then click Amend data.

You can also choose to export the data as a PDF or Excel file.

Refer to HMRC's guidance for details on how the values are calculated, or log in to your HMRC account to submit your values.
