If you've been sent this article by our support team, it's because you've queried why your HMRC account charges don't match your PayFit reports, we refer to this as an ‘HMRC Discrepancy’.

To resolve this issue we need some information from your HMRC account. Please see below for examples of the screenshots we need, depending on whether you have a company-wide, or an employee specific discrepancy.

Company-level HMRC discrepancy

In this case, your monthly charge on your HMRC account differs from your PayFit reports. E.g., HMRC report your monthly payment is £10,500, but your PayFit reports state £10,000).

Note: When logging in to your HMRC account, you need to choose the PAYE for Employers service. Your HMRC account might be linked to multiple services, e.g., corporation tax, but you'll need to use the PAYE for Employers service.
